Canon 50 d & 18-200 mm Announced

The announcement of the Canon EOS 50 d is not surprising to those who have followed the rumors. Looking for a good reason to upgrade? Here are the new goodies:

With the exception of the much higher resolution, would not be I have to say that the 50 d is a required upgrade for users of the Canon 40 d. claimed that the sensor is much better than the 40 d in high ISO performance, but I think 40 d's performance is more than sufficient for the average user. something better, you have to look the Canon 5 d for the full-frame sound.

No price information at this time.

At the same time Canon announced the new Canon EF-S 18-200 mm 1: 3.5-5.6, a direct competition with the popular Nikon 18-200 mm f G ED IF AF-S VR DX. it offers automatic detection of panning and four stops from stabilisation. it is not USM, so that focus is not as advanced mechanism.

It seems that Canon is heeding the call of the users who already have the Nikon for their handy lens-a solution envy. This lens would be perfect for travel, but the optical quality would probably nothing in the vicinity of the "l" Canon lenses.

Suggested retail price is US $ 699.
